- Even though tanks were invented over 100 years ago by a Crimean it made a huge difference in World War 1. They were first used by the British in 1915 and that moved 3 mph. However their speed did not make a big difference because they were juggernauts in battle. They made a strong hold against small arms fire. They have also had overwhelming firepower. However they became defenseless against large tactical strikes.
They were first made by the British who had eight of them for the war. The HMS Arch Royal was arguably the first modern aircraft carrier ever. It first launched on September 1914. They then thought of wheeled aircraft on ships and thus, the aircraft carrier as born. The ship was remade three times between 1915-1925. They finally put flight decks on it finally for the last touch. The British commander EH Donning was the first person to land an aircraft carrier on it.
